The Ronald McDonald House of Chapel
Hill provides families with a home while their child is getting medical
treatment. Staying in one of the 28 hotel-style guest rooms costs nothing
(the suggested donation is $10) and includes five dinners and two breakfasts
a week, plus the understanding and support of fellow residents and volunteers.
To make a reservation:
- Staff from a local hospital or hospital-affiliated clinic must make the
initial referral.
- If you have stayed at the house before, you can self-refer by calling the
Ronald McDonald House admissions office at 919-913-2043. Your need for a
room will then be verified with the hospital.
The Holiday Inn Chapel Hill provides a discounted rate for UNC patients and their families.
Reservations for the Holiday Inn Chapel Hill must be made through the Housing
Program. To make a reservation:
- Call the Housing Program at 919-966-1241.
- Your physician or nurse or social worker must fill out a referral and
assessment form.
- All payments will be made to the hospital cashier.
Cancellations for the Holiday Inn Chapel Hill must also made through the Housing
Program. To cancel a reservation:
- Call the Housing Program at 919-966-1241.
